The Lal Quila or the Red fort rises above a wide dry moat in the northeast corner of the city of Shahjahanabad. Red fort’s walls extend from two kilometers and differ in height from 18 meters on the river side to 33 meters on the city side. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan started the construction of the Red fort in 1638 and it was completed by 1648. The Red fort contains all the paraphernalia of the Mughal government- halls of public and private audience (Diwan-i-am and Diwan-i-khas), domed and arched marble palaces, plush private apartments, a mosque (Moti Masjid) and richly designed gardens. Though the Red fort had to face the wrath of Nadir Shah in 1739 and the British soldiers during the revolt of 1857, it still remains an impressive testimony to the Mughal splendor and might.http://infinitelinkz.com/red-fort/

Golden Temple | Infinite Linkz

Golden Temple – The most sacred place of sikhism, Amritsar

GOLDEN TEMPLE – As the name defines, it is the temple built up with coating of most precious element “GOLD” . It is also known as “SHRI HARIMANDIR SAHIB” , “SACHKHAND SHRI HARIMANDIR SAHIB” and also “DARBAR SAHIB”. It is situated in Amritsar , Punjab.

The Sikhs all over the world, daily wish to pay visit to Sri Amritsar and to pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib in their Ardas.
It is the beautiful religious destination to visit in Punjab. It is the prominent sikh Gurudwara in India. It is the symbol of human brotherhood.

Guru Arjan Sahib, the Fifth Nanak, conceived the idea of creating a central place of worship for the Sikhs and he himself designed the architecture of Sri Harmandir Sahib. Earlier the planning to excavate the holy tank (Amritsar or Amrit Sarovar ) was chalked out by Guru Amardas Sahib, the Third Nanak, but it was executed by Guru Ramdas Sahib under the supervision of Baba Budha ji. The land for the site was acquired by the earlier Guru Sahibs on payment or free of cost from the Zamindars (landlords) of native villages. The plan to establish a town settlement was also made. Therefore, the construction work on the Sarovar(the tank) and the town started simultaneously in 1570. The work on both projects completed in 1577 A.D
.
Guru Arjan Sahib got its foundation laid by a muslim saint Hazrat Mian Mir ji of Lahore on 1st of Magh, 1645 Bikrmi Samvat(December,1588). The construction work was directly supervised by Guru Arjan Sahib himself and he was assisted by the prominent Sikh personalities like Baba Budha ji, Bhai Gurdas ji, Bhai Sahlo ji and many other devoted Sikhs.

Sri Harmandir Sahib, is built on a 67ft. square platform in the centre of the Sarovar(tank). The temple itself is 40.5ft. square. It has a door each on the East, West, North and South. The Darshani Deori (an arch) stands at the shore end of the causeway. The door frame of the arch is about 10ft in height and 8ft 6inches in breath. The door panes are decorated with artistic style. It opens on to the causeway or bridge that leads to the main building of Sri Harmandir Sahib. It is 202 feet in length and 21 feet in width.

The bridge is connected with the 13 feet wide ‘Pardakshna’ (circumambulatory path). It runs round the main shrine and it leads to the ‘Har ki Paure’ (steps of God). On the first floor of ‘Har ki Paure’, there is continuous reading of Guru Granth Sahib.

The main structure of Sri Harmandir Sahib, functionally as well as technically is a three-storied one. The front, which faces the bridge, is decorated with repeated cusped arches and the roof of the first floor is at the height of the 26 feet and 9 inches.

Its architecture represents a unique harmony between the Muslims and the Hindus way of construction work and this is considered the best architectural specimens of the world. It is often quoted that this architecture has created an independent Sikh school of architecture in the history of art in India.

Antique Jewelry

Antique Jewelry – The Mirror Image of Antique /Ancient India

Antique Jewelry Provides the mirror Image the  beautiful Antique India, The Antique jewelry is sold on very high cost in the auctions. It looks beautiful on traditional dresses. Today, not only the indians, but the people around the world are crazy about the Antique Jewelry.http://infinitelinkz.com/antique-jewelry-the-mirror-image-of-antique-ancient-india/#comment-137

Jewelry that has substantial history attached to it, or on simpler terms, very old jewelry is known as antique jewelry. Antique jewelry usually has a rough and dull look, and tends to retain an old charm. Such jewelry is customarily handed over to the daughters or daughter-in-laws as part of traditions. Apart from being valuable, such jewelry has a lot of sentiments attached to it. Each piece of antique jewelry is unique in design and look. It is for this reason that such jewelry is much sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.http://infinitelinkz.com/antique-jewelry-the-mirror-image-of-antique-ancient-india/#comment-137
In India there are different forms of antique jewelry like kundan, minakari, filigree, jadau and many. These antique jewels were also studded with precious stones like emeralds, rubies and jade, thus making the jewels very unique and expensive. Antique jewels are not sold anymore with retailers, but are sold at auctions and at antique trinket shops at exorbitant rates. These rare jewels are attractive to behold. However, many jewelers today imitate such jewelry and try to pass them off as antique jewelry.

Today jewelers produce jewelry with antique finishes. Nevertheless people, who value the exclusiveness of antique ornaments, go for the original jewels. It is interesting to note that, today apart from Indians, people from other countries like the UK and the US also find such jewelry charming and buy them.

The antique jewels are very expensive because of their unique look. The antique jewelry gives you the royal status as it is so much expensive than the other types of jewelry. http://infinitelinkz.com/antique-jewelry-the-mirror-image-of-antique-ancient-india/#comment-137

Tanhayi – Kuch ankahe jazbaat

Hi Guys, I back again with my poem “Tanhayi “ dedicated to all the lovers . Hope so You all will enjoy reading this.http://infinitelinkz.com/tanhayi-kuch-ankahe-jazbaat/

Jab koi sath nahi hota mere,
Jab bilkul tanhayi hoti hai,
Tab tu ajata hai mere pass,
Na pucho kaisi haalat hoti hai.
Aankhain band kroon to tu nazar ata hai har taraf,
kholoon to tera khyal trhpaye hai,
Koi aisa bhi hata hai jiski har pal yaad staye hai,
Na jane kaisi  tanhayi hai jo hmko achi lgti hai,
Tujhse milne ko o jana har pal nazar trsti hai

Na puchna tum hmse kitna tumhe yaad kiya,
Ye kehna bhi to mushkil hai,
humne sab shamon ko teri yaadon mein barbad kiya,
Ab to aisa lgta hai tu dur nhi mere paas hai,
jahan jahan bhi mein dekhoon bs tera ehsaas hai,

majburi

Jab chahe aankhein bnd kroon to tera chehra dikh jata hai,
Aisa bhi hota hai aksar tu dur khrha muskurata hai.

Tu to jane hai tere bin ik pal bhi mujhko chain na aye,
Tu hi btla de fir kyun mujhko tu yoon trhpaye.

The imposing structure was built with the blessings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the promoter of BAPS (Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha). This NGO has built majestic and ostentatious temples worldwide, other being Akshardham Temple of Gujarat in India.
